Spendio
Privacy Policy
Spendio is an offline, on-device personal finance app. Everything you enter stays on your phone. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share any of your data. There is no account and no sign-up.
What data we collect
None. Spendio has no servers and no user accounts. The information you create in the app — wallets, transactions, categories, notes, and settings — is stored only in a local database on your device. It is never uploaded to us or anyone else.
Analytics, ads, and third parties
Spendio contains no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking SDKs. The app does not profile you and does not send usage data anywhere.
The only time Spendio interacts with an outside service is when you choose to tap a link on the About screen (email support, the Ko‑fi donation page, or the developer website). Doing so opens your own email or browser app; we do not receive any information about you automatically.
Permissions
Spendio does not request permissions that read your personal information, contacts, location, photos, or messages. Any device security features it may use (such as biometric unlock in a future update) are handled entirely by your operating system — biometric data is never accessible to, or stored by, Spendio.
Data storage and security
Your data is kept in a local database on your device, encrypted at rest, and protected by your device's own security (lock screen, sandboxing). Because the data never leaves your device, it is only as accessible as your phone is.
Data retention and deletion
Your data remains on your device until you delete it within the app or uninstall Spendio. Uninstalling the app permanently deletes all of its data. Since we hold no copy of your data on any server, there is nothing for us to delete or retain.
Children's privacy
Spendio is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal information from anyone.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date.
